Ted has over 24 years experience in the area of installation equipment, components and process technologies related to Semiconductor manufacturing. He has served on SEMI Committees, wrote multiple technical specifications for electropolishing and welding, and been involved in several successful start-up companies. Ted received his Engineering Degree in Aerospace Technologies from Utah State University, and has served in various roles in the industry, ranging from a National Sales Manager to Industry Consultant prior to founding CSI in August of 2000.
Ted’s enthusiasm toward technical products and love of innovation coupled with a strong will to understand how the culture of great businesses are created, have been his inspiration for establishing and growing a team of industry experts at CSI. “I enjoy my work and the people I share my time with. I see every day as an opportunity to learn how we can improve as individuals and work toward safer, more efficient ways to control process systems for advanced technologies.”
Troy has 25 years of experience in high purity fabrication and gas systems. He began his career as a high purity pipefitter in the food processing industry, and held various other operational and management positions as an AWS certified weld inspector and orbital welding instructor. With this background, he moved into the Semiconductor industry where he worked on major tool installations for various clients, including Vitesse, INTEL, and Fujitsu.
In 1999, Troy began working for On Semiconductor in Pocatello, Idaho (formerly AMI Semiconductor) where he served for 13 years. While at On Semi, he ran the contract oversight for tool installations, and managed the day to day operation and maintenance of Specialty Gas Systems and Hazardous Gas Monitoring Systems.
Tom is a 22 year veteran in the high purity/Semiconductor field. Earlier in his career, he developed a strong base of experience in process piping components and project management while working for Valin Corporation and Flow Solutions, both leaders in the high purity space.
Tom is a one of the original members of the Critical Systems team, and manages many customer-facing aspects of the business. In addition to leading CSI’s sales team, he coordinates with our affilate sales teams to bring turnkey solutions to market as well as manages the layout and design of the company’s custom fabrication work. He also participates in various high purity processing forums, serving in an advisory capacity.
Todd began his engineering career in the Air Force where he specialized in Electro-Optical Photo Sensor, and Electro-Environmental technology. He then spent many years at Seagate Technology where he was a lead engineer on the build-out of a MEMS/Semiconductor facility, with specific emphasis on the build-out of an environmentally friendly, state-of-the-art waste collection system (photo process waste). Todd puts his engineering experience to good use at CSI, where he oversees the gas abatement operations, as well as providing many customers with gas systems design and operational support.
For the past 17 years, Paul has worked as an Electronics Design Engineer serving the Semiconductor Solar PV industries. His roles have included design, automation, and process control for many facets of mechanical and electrical integration, ranging from circuit board design to software development.
Paul’s talent and experience gives CSI the ability to fully support our existing gas systems products and services, as well as provide systems customization when required. Paul’s knowledge base is also instrumental to Critical Systems as we continue bringing practical and innovative products and solutions to our customers.
John has focused on technology and technical support areas for over 25 years. He has held various project engineering, large scale system design, and program management roles with Micron Technologies, SCP Global, and EDS, prior to coming on board with Critical Systems.
As CSI’s Orbital Services Manager, John uses this experience, and the certified training he received from ARC Machines, to lead his team in the diagnosis and repair of orbital welding & gas delivery equipment, as well as assisting in the introduction of many of the company’s orbital welding innovations. His passion for combining leading-edge technology with ‘old school’ craftsmanship is one of the reasons Critical Systems continues to grow in the field of high purity welding and processes.
Charlie served in the military for 20 years, spending the majority of that time working on avionics systems in various capacities, ranging from technician level work through superintendent. With that experience base, he moved to Micron Technologies for 17 years, where he had responsibilities in operations, maintenance and supervision over compressed gas equipment.
Charlie puts his wealth of experience to work at CSI. He is central to our gas system reconditioning process; integrating hardware, verifying functionality of controller routines, and performing system integrity checks prior to certifying each system.
Since 1998, Critical Systems, Inc. (CSI) has been providing Gas Cabinet, Valve Manifold Boxes & Gas Abatement Systems (Gas Cabinets and Gas Scrubbers, etc.), and Orbital Welding Rental, Lease, Repair and Training Services related to process tool facilitation for Semiconductor, Biotech, Pharmaceutical and related industries. Company headquarters are in Boise, ID, with additional locations in Burnsville, MN, and Shrewsbury, PA, Austin, TX and Draper, UT.
