A resource for all things related to supporting the Process Tool

The Idea Collaboration Center was created to share ideas & best practices in order to promote safe and effective ways to run technology based processes in Semiconductor and related fields. We invite you to ask questions, post comments, ideas, and links, or even share a video of your own.

Estimate the equivalent energy consumption of your semiconductor Fab manufacturing equipment

By admin |

The semiconductor industry is taking note of an easy to use, web-based software program called “TEECalcII” ( converts specific utility flow rates into annual kilowatt hours per year using semi-conductor industry agreed conversion factors.  The data on each user’s manufacturing equipment and utility consumption is stored on the “cloud” confidentially, but can also be shared selectively with others.  Reports and graphs can be prepared and PDF files exported from the software.  This “expert” provided the technical guidance for this ISMI / Sematech sponsored project.  Access is available to the public.

Ralph Cohen, P.E., provided this information, and is an engineering consultant to customers for gas systems components and HVAC, specializing in semi-conductor and other industrial manufacturing facilities.   More information on Ralph’s project work, publications, etc. can be found here RalphCohenConsultancy or call  971-227-8989.
