Tim Tycz, Director of the Orbital Technologies Group (OTG) has been part of the CSI family for 10 years! To mark the occasion, we managed to interview him on his experiences, thoughts, and advice he has for his fellows.

In August, CSI attended the UA Instructor Training Program (ITP) in Ann Arbor, Michigan for the second year in a row, showcasing our expertise in copper orbital welding. From our vendor expo booth to live orbital welding demonstrations, CSI highlighted how our patented Lightning Series weld head are driving innovation across the industry!

This last Thursday on September 5th, 2025, Critical Systems, Inc. gathered at Phillippi Park in Boise, Idaho for our annual company meeting. We celebrated with speeches, recognition, swag, and activities you can read about here!

Critical Systems’ Lightning Series (LS) heads feature our patented Super Cooling Technology. The LS heads were designed from the ground up for high amperage applications like copper welding and heavy wall pipe or tube, where a homogeneous single pass weld is preferred. In fact, the weld head body remains cool to the touch even when the cassette and collets reach and exceed temperatures of over 400 degrees Fahrenheit!
